Round 8 most important game was a victory of A.Lobos over one of their biggest challengers Brujos 100-75 on Friday night. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Brujos. It was a key game for the second position in the league. A.Lobos dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Brujos' 32. They outrebounded Brujos 48-30 including a 40-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. A.Lobos looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Brujos' players. Naturalized American center Marc Montavious (202-1990, college: Georgetown, KY) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds. American Timothy Simmons (195-1992, college: DBU) contributed with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American guard Brent Kelly (185-2000, college: Nichols, agency: Fully Feared Sports) replied with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for Brujos. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. A.Lobos (6-2) have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Brujos at the other side dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with Santa Tecla. An interesting game for A.Lobos (6-2) which hosted in their close opponent Salvadorenos (5-2). Third ranked A.Lobos had an easy win 93-59. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized American center Marc Montavious (202-1990, college: Georgetown, KY) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and Alexander Colocho who added 21 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Gerardo Medrano responded with 6 points and 9 rebounds. A.Lobos have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Salvadorenos at the other side dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. A.Lobos' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in to the arena .
